Amanda was born and raised in Reedsburg. She graduated Reedsburg Area High School in 2005. She was involved in Band, Choraliers, Art Club, and did track and field, where she threw shot and discus. She attend UW-Platteville for a year studying music education. She is part of Sigma Alpha Iota, Theta Iota Chapter, a woman’s music fraternity on campus. After completing a year down there, she didn’t feel fulfilled. Even though music is a huge part of her life, she new music education wasn’t for her. After a heart-felt conversation with her Grandma, she convinced her to sign up for massage school, something she has always wanted to do. After signing up for school at Lakeside School of Massage Therapy, there was no turning back. Amanda has always been a loving, helpful, caring, and healing person, so massage fits her very well.

In 2014, she met her now husband, Ian, and they got married in Oct 2016. Amanda has a step-daughter, Samantha, and a fur-baby, Jasper. She always jokes with Ian saying that they are going to have their own football team some day! Also, one day she will be a foster mom to all the lonely fur-babies out there so they know what a loving home really looks like.
On her spare time, Amanda loves to paint, camp, hike at Pewit’s Nest and Devil’s Lake, take photography, spend time with her family, bake, cook, and help plan the Sauk County Alzheimer’s Walk every year, where she is the team captain of the Simon’s Say…CURE IT!! team, and volunteers around the community.

During her 11 1/2 years of massage, Amanda has learned so many different techniques to help her help each client, because nobody ever has the same needs! Some of those techniques are, prenatal massage, infant massage, reflexology, reiki, trigger point massage, chair massage, deep tissue, sports massage, hot and cold stone, cupping, acupressure and aromatherapy. She is always expanding her techniques, next on her list are sound therapy and Gua Sha. Each massage is very different never the same as the last time. Client’s tell her she has “Magic Hands” or “Hands of an Angel.” Being at Anderson Chiropractic has allowed me to use all my skills I have learned and so much more!

Fun Fact: Even though I don’t wear make-up often, I love doing it and am pretty good at it!
